Studio MIA Michal Iuclea Architects is a comprehensive full-service architecture, design and planning firm located in Tel Aviv, Israel. Studio MIA was founded by Michal Iuclea in 2008 and has since designed numerous public buildings and residential complexes. The projects designed in the office vary in scale: interior design of apartments and offices, private homes, public buildings, vast residential complexes and urban design projects.
Studio MIA appreciates the importance of social design that is people oriented. We design sustainable buildings and urban fabrics while being attentive to our clients’ needs and desires and understanding the responsibility of the architect not only to the client, but also to the city, society and environment.
Architect Michal Iuclea graduated from technion (M. Arch 1998 Cum Laude, B. Arch 2010 Summa Cum Laude). Michal lives and works in Tel Aviv and has won prizes in competitions throughout the years. Michal teaches Architecture at the Technion (Courses: Studio, Urban design, Affordable Housing, Housing and Urban regeneration). Michal also takes part in research mainly on Housing and Urban regeneration issues in Israel. Michal is a certified architect in Israel and is fluent in English, French, Romanian and Hebrew. The Studio currently has design projects for clients in Israel, USA and Europe.
Prior to opening Studio MIA Michal was a team leader and project architect in Ranni Ziss Architects in Ramat Gan. Michal opened in 2005 the New York branch of the RZA office and was the head architect for the NY Plaza Hotel design. While working for the RZA Michal designed numerous hotels and multiuse complexes in vast scale all around the world.
